Professor Tamar Ross has been associated with Midreshet Lindenbaum since its inception (as Michlelet Bruria) in 1976. She is also Professor Emerita of the Department of Jewish philosophy at Bar Ilan University, and has taught in many academic and religious settings in Israel, the United States, England and South Africa
Her published works cover a wide range of topics relating to Jewish thought, theology and the philosophy of halakha, including a book entitled Expanding the Palace of Torah: Orthodoxy and Feminism.
She was selected by the Israeli government as torch-bearer in the Independence Day ceremony of 2013 for her contribution to the revolution in Jewish women's learning.
